Tranquil and Ethereal Oregon Coast Editorial

For my birthday this year I wanted to just create something really simple and yet beautiful. I wanted to really slow down and focus on movement and shooting how things “felt” rather than just what it looked like. After a rain and hail storm came through Cannon Beach we set off in the sand to start shooting. The light was more than dreamy and the sound of the waves completely soothed all the worries I had about the shoot coming together and the weather. My favorite shot is at the end of this blog post and It was exactly what I had envisioned. I was watching through my lense for about a minute or so, waiting for the right movement and feeling. It was well worth slowing down and of course shooting film!
