Best. Weekend. Ever. Let me just start by saying that! I was looking forward to Megan and Jake’s wedding for months. When I first heard that their venue was out in Kimberly, Oregon and that there was no cell service I was sold. Right off the bat. Though I didn’t know just how much I would love the whole process and the whole day. If you know me, I love to drive. I’ll drive anywhere just to listen to music and roll the windows down. So naturally the three hour drive to Lands Inn Camping & Cabins was more than refreshing and it cleared my mind, I drove through the Ochocco Forest, rolling canyons, fossil beds, painted hills and over the John Day River. It was absolutely breathtaking!
Though finally meeting Megan and Jake, along with their families was such a great experience as well. As I walked into the house where all the girls were getting ready; some of the greatest music was playing and the bridesmaids were full of so much love and laughter for Megan. After Megan put on her dress I headed down to the ceremony site; where I saw the simplest and most stunning backdrop and arch.
Wildflowers have a solid spot in my heart and they happened to be Megan’s choice of florals and they seamlessly draped over their arch. These two got married on the runway and I can imagine how special it was for them and their families, as Jake is a 4th generation pilot & mechanic. They shared their hand written vows with one another and I was blinking through watery eyes once again. Though that whole night through toasts and dances (Where they danced under a parachute), I ended up doing the same thing. And yes; even while editing their first dance photos, mother-son and father-daughter dance especially I teared up all over again. There’s so much emotion in these photos; especially the last few.
I am so excited to share a few of my favorites of this amazing Oregon Aviation Wedding with you!
